How Does The Process Work?
We are not an Online Will Service. We have a Simple 3 Step Process to WritingYour Lawyer Made Will.
- Speak with a Wills Lawyer by telephone for Free, to plan your Will and Power of Attorney Documents;
- The Lawyer will draft the Custom Will, Power of Attorney for Property, Power of Attorney for Personal Care, and a Health Directive(Living Will) and Will email them to you for Your Review and Approval;
- The Lawyer and a Law Clerk will meet you at your Home, Office or at one of our Wills Day Events to Witness your signatures and provide you with The Original Documents in a nice Folder for you to safely store, or for deposit at your local Court House in Ontario.
When and How Do I Pay?
You Don’t Pay Up Front. We complete the entire process with you and you pay, in person, with a Debit Card or Credit Card( Visa or MasterCard. We Do Not Accept Cash, Cheques or other forms of Payment. We Bring Our Payment Processing Machine with us for Home, Office or Wills Day Events.
How Long Does The Process Take?
We have appointment slots available at various times during the week, including evenings and weekends.
The telephone appointment takes about 15-30 minutes. If the planning goes beyond that a second, free consultation may be scheduled to complete the intake process.
24-48 Hours from the time you speak with the Wills Lawyer, you will get an email with a link to your documents.
15-30 minutes are needed for the Lawyer to review the documents with you by telephone.
On the Will Signing Day, it takes about 10-15 minutes to verify your ID and to Witness your signatures.
Does the Lawyer Keep The Original Will?
No. Ontario Wills Lawyer Does Not Keep the Orginal Documents. They are provided to you the day you sign your Will, in a nice folder to store them in. This ensures that your executor does not feel obligated to use our, or any other law firms services to obtain the Will. We do keep your instructions and details on file in the event that you would like to update your Will and Power of Attorney Documents.
